Bios

• Bob Burns

  Principal & President

  Bob is one of the three founding Principals of ASI. He began his insurance career in 1980 after 22 years in the military (2 in the Marines and 20 in the Air Force). After two years with Metropolitan Life, he started his own independent agency concentrating on Life / Health and Financial Planning. In 1982 he completed the American College curriculum for award of the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Arizona State University. He is active in the management of ASI.

• Brad Burditt

  Principal & Life and Health Agent

  Brad graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in economics and was a 3-year letter winner for the University of Missouri Tiger football team in the 1980’s. He has earned multiple accredited professional designations and is one of the original founders and principals of ASI. He has served as President of the local Chamber of Commerce, served on Economic Development Council Board, and has volunteered for many community projects along with being a participating member of the Varsity M Letterman’s Club. He currently heads up the Life, Health and Benefits section for ASI with specialties in Health and Welfare Employer based benefits. Brad is licensed in multiple states.

• Norm Kuecker

  CPCU & Insurance Agent

  Norm has served the insurance industry in many capacities throughout the years including field representative, home office underwriter and underwriting and claims manager. He joined the agency ranks in 1976 where he is still active today. Until recently Norm was a part owner of ASI serving as Vice President and Secretary of the organization. Moving towards retirement, his son Ryan has joined the organization as a producer and assistant to Norm in servicing his customers. He looks forward to serving both your personal and commercial insurance needs.

• Jeff Maupin

  Insurance Agent

  Jeff Maupin graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He has been an insurance agent for 25 years. He first worked as a Shelter Agent in Blue Springs for 17 years earing his LUTCF designation. The past 8 years Jeff has been an Independent agent and has earned his SBCS designation. He has a great appreciation for being an Independent agent and all the coverage and price options for his clients. He is married and has 5 children. He loves spending time with his family, and you can often find him at one of their events.

• Ruth Ann Solomon

  Insurance Agent

  Ruth Ann is a life-long resident of the Kansas City area. Ruth Ann joined ASI in 2009. She has been in the insurance industry for 5 decades and brings both national company underwriting and agency experience to ASI. Her primary focus is on commercial accounts. Ruth Ann is interested in photography and travel.

• Ryan Kuecker

  AIC & Insurance Agent

  Ryan attended Northwest Missouri State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. He started his insurance carrier as an agent with ASI but soon left to work on the company side as a liability claims adjuster. He was a claims adjuster for six years working for both Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company and Auto Owner’s Insurance. During this time, he earned his Associate in Claims (AIC) designation through the Insurance Institute of America. He returned to work as a personal lines agent in 2016 building his own family of clients while also assisting his father, Norman Kuecker, with his existing clients. In his free time, Ryan leads the senior high youth group at his church and unwinds with movies, television and music.

• Tara Lamb

  Insurance Agent

  Tara grew up in Independence MO and graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis on Marketing. She is a 2nd generation insurance agent beginning her own career in insurance in 1998. She has been with ASI since 2013. Her focus is in personal lines and small commercial. She is involved in many community and networking organizations including Chambers, BNI and PTA. She currently resides in Grain Valley.
